Pera

Terms of Use

Last updated 29 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Jan Czarnecki ("we", "us") for using the Pera app. They are written to be read. If you are a consumer in the EU, nothing here takes away the rights the law gives you.

1. Who can use Pera

You must be at least 16 years old. You need a valid email address and you are responsible for keeping access to it safe. One person, one account.

2. What Pera is, and is not

Pera offers conversation questions, games, activity ideas and private letters for couples. It is for fun and connection.

Pera is not therapy, counselling, or medical or psychological advice. If you are in a relationship that feels unsafe, or you are in crisis, please contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.

3. Your content

You own what you write and upload. You give us permission to store it, and to show it to your partner in the way the app describes, only so we can provide the service. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

Do not upload anything illegal, anything you don't have the right to share, or anything that harasses, threatens or exploits anyone. Photos must not show other people without their permission, and must never show minors in any intimate context.

We have no tolerance for abusive content or abusive behaviour. Anything sent to you in Pera — a letter, a photo, a quest memory — can be reported from the screen it appears on, or by emailing support@getpera.eu. We look at every report, normally within 24 hours, and we remove content, end a couple and close accounts when these rules are broken.

You can also leave a couple at any time (Settings → Couple), which immediately stops the other person from sending you anything.

4. Your couple

You can be in one couple at a time. Anything you share inside the couple is visible to your partner. If you leave a couple, it is closed; your partner keeps access to what was already shared with them until they leave too, at which point shared content is deleted.

5. Pera Plus (subscription)

Pera is free to use. Pera Plus is an optional subscription that unlocks extra features for both partners in a couple while you are together in the app.

The price and billing period are shown before you buy. Payment is taken by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) when you confirm the purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings; you keep Plus until the end of the paid period. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription by itself.

If a free trial is offered, you will be charged when it ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

If the partner who pays leaves the couple, Plus stays with them and the other partner returns to the free version.

6. App Store and Google Play

If you downloaded Pera from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). These terms are between you and us, not Apple; Apple is not responsible for Pera or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it. The same applies to Google for Google Play.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Pera running, but it may occasionally be unavailable, and features may change. If we make changes to these terms that matter to you, we will tell you in the app in advance. If we ever shut Pera down, we will give at least 30 days' notice so you can download your data.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Pera and delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

9. Liability

We are responsible for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, and as required by mandatory law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for how people use the conversations and activities the app suggests. Please do Side Quests safely and within the law.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts. Please contact us first at support@getpera.eu: most things can be solved quickly.
